A new 89mm diameter gold-layered coin commemorates the 65th Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s Coronation, but only 999 will be minted! There could be no more fitting tribute to this auspicious event. In 1953, the Royal Mint issued the legendary Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Medal as well as medallions to celebrate the occasion. The Latin phrase: ‘Vivat Regina’ (Long live the Queen) unfurls through the crown. It is a sentiment that has been echoed throughout Her Majesty’s 65 years of service and dedication to each one of us.

In the annals of crown coin mintage, the ten crown coin is extremely rare and therefore equally coveted. Bearing Her Majesty’s effigy and the approval of Buckingham Palace, elevates the ten crown to an even higher standing with numismatists and history enthusiasts alike. At 89mm in diameter (the length of an average index finger) and weighing 283 grams, coins of such proportions are struck to mark occasions of great importance.
