A unique Dambusters aviation-inspired wall décor print, featuring Lancaster Bomber artwork by Wilf Hardy and 24-carat gold-plated crown coins, limited to just 200 editions and individually numbered, exclusive to The Bradford Exchange – In May 1943, 133 daring and skilled young men manned their formidable, specially modified Lancaster aircraft and took to the skies, led by Wing Commander Guy Gibson. Within the aircraft were Barnes Wallis’ revolutionary bouncing bombs, designed for this exact mission. The three formations of the 617 Squadron released their payload high above Germany’s Ruhr Valley, with crews anxiously waiting as the spinning bombs skipped over the water’s surface towards the Mohne and Eder Dams. With the destruction of these enemy assets, the resulting flooding of German factories and infrastructure, greatly assisted the Allied war effort.

Commemorating the crucial Operation Chastise, the iconic Dambusters and the mighty Avro Lancaster aircraft, the UK-made ‘Dambusters’ Operation Chastise Limited Edition Print is exclusive to The Bradford Exchange and limited to just 200 editions worldwide – each individually numbered.

Meticulously handcrafted by master artisans, this richly detailed print showcases striking Lancaster artwork by skilled artist Wilf Hardy, depicting the aircraft practicing for the mission in the Peak District. Below this main artwork is further vibrant imagery, capturing the moment that the Dams were breached. Framed by a mahogany-toned hardwood, the print showcases two 24-carat gold-plated crown coins – one adorned with imagery of the Lancaster over Lincoln, and the other featuring Guy Gibson. Below the coins is the golden script: ‘Après moi, le déluge’ (After me, the flood). Tributes also include: ‘Dambusters’, ‘Operation Chastise’, a diagram of the Bouncing Bomb and a schematic of a Dambusters Avro Lancaster.
